Turn down an RFP

If you are unable to bid on a lead, you will turn it down.

  1. Open the RFP.

The RFP General Information page opens.

  1. Click TurnDown.

The Turndown RFP Message window opens.

  1. Complete the following details:

    1. The System Recipients field lists who will automatically receive an e-mail message from MeetingBroker. If necessary, add other email addresses in the To: field.
    2. In the Reason field, select why you are unable to bid. This is automatically sent back to Cvent, Groups360, SpeedRFP, SignUp4, Venue Directory, 1000Meetings, CVBs, and Central Sales (formerly Connex).
    3. If your administrator has provided templates for you to use, click Select Response. In the window that opens, select the text you want to use in the Comments field, and click Insert Documents.
    4. Enter your message to the recipients in the Comments field. These comments are automatically uploaded to Cvent and Central Sales regardless of the recipients in the To: and System Recipients fields.
    5. You can add up to three attachments. The total combined size of the attachments can't exceed 15 MB.
  2. Click Send.

If configured by your subscription administrator, the primary contact for the meeting may also be included by default in the turn down message.

You can only turn down an active RFP (the RFP status is not Canceled, Awarded, or Self-Awarded).
