Align room and equipment type.

HotSOS Thick Client assigns rooms and equipment to Room/Eq Type. It’s easy enough to select a room type for a piece of equipment and an equipment type for a room. It happens! HotSOS Desktop has both, room type and equipment type, found in Rooms and Equipment modules respectively.

As the HotSOS administrator moving from HotSOS Thick Client to HotSOS New Desktop, you might find you need to move some Thick Client rooms or equipment to a more logical room or equipment type in HotSOS New Desktop.

Review both Room Types (Configuration > Rooms) and Equipment Types (Configuration > Equipment) and take the following steps to correct where necessary:

Equipment with Room Type

1. Click .

2. Click Rooms.

3. Select Rooms Types.

4. Select the checkbox next to one or more entries to be corrected.

5. Click the in the bar at the bottom of the page.

6. In Edit Room Types, click Type down arrow and select Equipment Type from list.

7. Click .

Go to Equipment module to confirm the selection have transferred.

Rooms with Equipment Type

1. Click ,

2. Click to select Equipment.

3. Select Room Types.

4. Select the checkbox next to the entry to be corrected.

5. Click the in the bar at the bottom of the page.

6. In Edit Equipment Types, click Type down arrow and select Guestroom or Non Guestroom from list.

7. Click .

Go to Rooms module to confirm the selection has transferred.
