Create equipment
The majority of your property's equipment is added during the onboarding process. Naturally, over time you'll need to add new equipment and remove old.
To create equipment

Enter the Name of the equipment. Each piece of equipment must have a unique name, for example: Air Handler #1, Refrigerator - Main Kitchen, Refrigerator - Cafe, RTU - North, Ice Machine - 3Fl, and so forth.
Remember to follow your naming standards. If you use numbers to identify a piece of equipment, make sure the number is clearly posted on the equipment.
- Each piece of equipment is automatically assigned an Equipment #. You can leave this number as is.
- Select the equipment Type.
- Select where the equipment is Located. Location is optional but can be useful when equipment is tucked out of the way.
- Some respondents might be restricted to scanning a barcode to start, stop, and complete an order regardless of the issue, click the toggle to turn on Barcode.
Print barcodes or QR codes and place on equipment so they can easily be scanned. See Data Reports: Room-Equipment QR CODES or Room-Equipment Barcodes.
Optional tabs
Select the location(s) that this piece of equipment serves. For example, Air Handler #1 services the Executive Offices, Front Desk, and Lobby. While optional, this can be truly valuable information for the engineers.
- In the Available column, select the location(s) then click at the bottom of the page to move the location(s) to the Selected column.
Add this piece of equipment to one or more existing areas if applicable.
- In the Available column, select the area(s) then click at the bottom of the page to move the areas to the Selected column.
If UDFs (User Defined Fields) have been defined for the equipment type, they will display on this tab. The UDFs listed change based on the selected equipment type.
- Enter the equipment related information for the UDFs associated with this piece of equipment.

In the Available column, click the check box to the left of the language. More than one language may be selected.
- In the bottom bar, click to move languages to the Selected column.
- Enter translation for each language selected.
- Click .
- Click to save.
