HotSOS roles
HotSOS roles determine what the user will be able to do in HotSOS. Choose the roles the user will need to perform his or her job. If the user changes jobs or needs to do perform other duties, you can add or delete roles as necessary. It's as simple as that.
HotSOS Roles

This respondent must scan either the barcode or the QR code for equipment, rooms, or parts in HotSOS Mobile to create, start, stop, and complete orders.

With this role the user can create, edit, and delete the Business Rules governing how orders are processed. Business rules have numerous options to ensure work is dispatched to the right person or team, nothing gets missed and guest expectations are exceeded.
The Business Intelligence Manager role also lets the user define PMS rules. When HotSOS desktop interfaces with the hotel's property management system (PMS), orders can be generated based on reservation events, such as check-in, check-out, change in room status, or recur during stay.

This role gives access to service order and housekeeping dashboards in HotSOS Mobile. In HotSOS Select and HotSOS desktop, only the service order will be accessible.

An inspector performs property-defined inspections (Inspection Orders) and runs Inspection reports.

This role allows the user to post costs associated with the order and complete the posting process preventing any further costs from being applied to an order.

This role allows the user to post amenities to a guestroom in HotSOS Mobile.

Users assigned the QA Manager role can perform a Follow Up - a call to guests to ensure they are satisfied with the service they received. They can also set a manual follow up, add recovery and add, delete, edit cost codes.

Report Subscription Manager permits the user to create, modify, schedule, and maintain customized reporting for a property.

Unit Cost Manager allows the user to create, modify, and delete costs in Configuration (under Costs), including parts, recovery, and amenities.

This role permits access to the Guest Relations console.

This User Defined Field Manager role allows users from both Unit and Cluster levels to edit User Defined Fields (UDFs) values from the Location card in a service order.

This role allows the user to manage all property personnel and departments.

The Unit Device Manager creates, edits, and deletes HotSOS devices and registers HotSOS Mobile on iOS and Android smartphones for HotSOS Mobile.

This role allows the user to create, modify and delete issues, standards, and predefined memos. Users with this role can configure meters in Configuration.

With this role the user can create, edit, and delete rooms, room types, areas, equipment, and equipment types.

This role gives the user the ability to generate reports whether Data, Operational, Inspection, FAQ or Custom reports.

Users with Unit Personnel Manager can create, edit, copy, or delete other users in their own department. Limited roles available to assign:

Unit Team Manager role allows the user to create, edit, and delete teams and determine how the work will be dispatched. In HotSOS Mobile, the Unit Team Manager can view the team workspace and manage the team backlog.

Unit Trade Manager creates and manages trades and trade groups.
HotSOS Select Roles

This role grants access to Configuration. Administrators can add and delete system values including personnel, issues, rooms, equipment, schedules, and workflows. They can also run reports and register devices.

This role permits select users limited access to Housekeeping Consoles, so they may apply room rushes and view the Room Assignments.

Update the Welcome Screen in System Settings > Mobile Settings. This message displays on the RA's mobile application when they log in.
