What's new in HotSOS Housekeeping?
HotSOS Housekeeping No Task option
Team members with the role of REX Room Assignments Manager can now apply No Task to any room. Take a look to see how No Task can be used.

Room assignments are done from two consoles, AM for room clean and PM for turndown. As a result of the pandemic many hotels are operating on much smaller staffs and are cleaning only those rooms necessary. Programs have been instituted to make most efficient use of the labor force: no guestrooms cleaned during a stay, stayover rooms cleaned only on demand, or cleaned every 3 days of any stay over a week, etc. No Task to help you manage and assign rooms to meet the needs of your property.
Remove all No Task rooms from rooms displayed for assignment.

Select the rooms you don't want to have cleaned or assigned to a room attendant.

Right-click in the selected area.

Select Specify Task.

Select No Task.

Clear No Task in the Task option at the top of the console.
This will leave only those rooms to be assigned.
This will need to be done daily before you assign rooms.

In Data Management/ Settings under System Settings/Enable Task, find No Task.

to the right.

In the text box enter the new task name you want: Do Not Clean, Save for later, Offline Rooms - whatever works for your team.

to save all Settings changes.

Steps can be added to any task. Click
.

In the text box beneath the step, key in the step instructions. For example, if a room attendant is accidentally assigned a No Task room (or whatever it has been renamed) consider adding a step that will tell them how to proceed such as, If given this task, contact your supervisor.

To add more steps repeat steps 6 and 7.

when done adding steps.

to save all Settings changes.
Once you rename No Task, the new name will be displayed throughout the application including Housekeeping Supervisor mobile and reports.

If your property uses AutoAssign, No Task rooms will automatically be ignored during the AutoAssign process.

No Task is available in Room Credits should you choose to assign credits or minutes.

No Task is a selectable filter option in the following reports:

Once set in AM/PM console, No Task icon
displays along with the name No Task in the Room Assignment's list in Housekeeping Supervisor mobile application.

No Task can be changed to any other task in the mobile application.
