Enable option events

The following steps provide instructions on how to enable the option events feature. This feature requires R3 (version 1.39) or later. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To enable the option events feature

  1. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking Event > Page Layouts > Edit Booking Event Layout.
  2. In the Booking Event Layout toolbar, drag a new Section onto the layout between the existing Information and Attendance sections.

The Section Properties window opens.

  1. In the Section Name field, enter Option and click OK.
  2. In the Booking Event Layout toolbar, click Fields.
  3. Drag the Function Room Option and Option Number fields to the new Option section.

  1. Click Save at the top of the Layout page.
  2. In the warning message that is displayed, click Yes to confirm you want to continue saving.
  3. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Property > Page Layouts > Edit Property Layout.
  4. In the Property Layout toolbar, drag the Create Options on Conflict field into the Default Configuration section under the Unassigned Function Room field.
  1. Click Save at the top of the Layout page.
  2. Repeat steps 8 - 10 for the Event Only Property page layout (if applicable).
