Suppress BEO headers
The following steps provide instructions on how to suppress headers in a BEO template when a section does not contain any items. These steps are only applicable if you are upgrading from R2 and using a customized BEO template.
To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To suppress BEO headers
- Click All Tabs (+), click Document Templates, and then click Go.
- Click Corporate BEO.
The Document Template page opens.
- Navigate to the Notes & Attachments related list and click the first attached BEO version (this is the active template).
The Attached File page opens.
- Click View File to open the template in Microsoft Word.
- Press ALT+F9 to display the merge fields in the document.
Each section displays orange fields that serve as the header and footer of the section (Food, Beverage, AV, etc.). These fields are the ones that need to be modified.
- In each orange header and footer field, insert the following: "Hint:BeoSec(x)."
- Ensure there are no additional spaces that might have been created if you are copying and pasting the hint phrase into each section (for example, “(Food). nihrm” versus “(Food).nihrm”).
- Save this new BEO file under a different name so it can be distinguished from the previous version.
- Reattach this new version to the Corporate BEO document template.
