Remove batch merge access

If you have upgraded to R5 and you do not want to use the batch merge feature, you'll need to remove user access to the Batch Merge object.

To deactivate user access to the Batch Merge object

  1. Go to Setup and enter "Profiles" in the Quick Find search box.
  2. When you see it as an option on the left-hand side, select it.
  3. Select Event Only User > Object Settings > Batch Merge > Edit.
  4. In the Tab Settings picklist, select Tab Hidden and click Save.
  5. Click the Objects Settings link, select Batch Merges, and click Edit.
  6. In the Object Permissions section, clear the Enabled checkbox for all permissions.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Repeat this entire procedure the Event Only Corporate Administrator, Event Only Property Administrator, Sales and Catering User, Sales and Catering Property Administrator, and Sales and Catering Corporate Administrator profiles.
