Add Trending Help Topics to the Home page

The following steps provide instructions on how to add the Trending Help Topics component to your organization's Home page. This component provides users with quick access to Help topics for frequently asked questions and requires R6 (version 1.54) or later. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To add Trending Help Topics to the Home page

  1. Go to Setup > Customize > Home > Custom Links > New.

The Custom Link Edit page opens.

  1. Complete the fields on this page as follows to enable the custom link for the Administrator Tasks Help topic (https://help.amadeus-hospitality.com/sales-and-event-management/advanced/index.html#admin-overview.html):

  1. Click Save.
  2. Complete steps 1 - 3 for the following Help topics:
  • Setting your default property (https://help.amadeus-hospitality.com/sales-and-event-management/advanced/index.html#property-setting-default.html)
  • Managing users (https://help.amadeus-hospitality.com/sales-and-event-management/advanced/index.html#users-overview.html)
  • Training videos (https://help.amadeus-hospitality.com/sales-and-event-management/advanced/index.html#training/14-videos.html)
  1. Go to Setup > Customize > Home > Home Page Components > New.

The New Custom Components page opens.

If the Understanding Custom Components page opens, click Next to go to the New Custom Components page.

  1. Enter Trending Help Topics as the name of the custom component, and then click Next.
  2. Multi-select all the links you just added and click Add to move them to the Custom Links to Show list.
  3. Click Save.
  1. Go to Setup > Customize > Home > Home Page Layouts.
  2. Click Edit next to your organization's Home page layout.

The Edit Home Layout page opens.

  1. Select the Trending Help Topics checkbox, and then click Next.
  2. If needed, use the arrow buttons to position the Trending Help Topics component on your Home page.
  3. Click Save.
