Enable packages
The following steps provide instructions on how to enable packages. This feature requires R9 (version 1.73) or later.To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To enable packages
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Property.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Property Layout.
- In the Property Layout toolbar, click Related Lists.
- Drag the Packages related list onto the layout under Other Income.
- To add columns to the new Packages related list, click its Related List Properties icon.
- In the Related List Properties – Packages window, do the following:
- In the Available Fields list, select Name, Description, Display Name, and Total Package Price, and then click Add to move the fields to the Selected Fields list.
- In the Sort By list, select Name, and then select Ascending.
- Click OK.
- Click Save at the top of the Property Layout page.
- Repeat this entire procedure for the Event Only Property page layout (if applicable).
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Layout.
- In the Booking Layout toolbar, click Related Lists.
- Drag the Booking Packagerelated list onto the layout above Booking Terms and Conditions.
- To add columns to the new Booking Package related list, click its Related List Properties icon.
- In the Related List Properties – Booking Package window, do the following:
- In the Available Fields list, select Display Name, Description, Package Arrival, and Package Departure, and then click Add to move the fields to the Selected Fields list.
- In the Sort By list, select Package Arrival, and then select Ascending.
- Expand the Buttons section, select Manage Attendance in the Available Buttons list, and then click Add to move it to the Selected Buttons list.
- Click OK.
- Click Save at the top of the Booking Layout page.
- Repeat this entire procedure for the Event Only Booking page layout (if applicable).
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Layout.
- From the Booking Layout toolbar, drag a new section onto the layout under Forecasted and Actual Revenue (Calculated).
- In the Section Properties window (opens automatically), do the following:
- In the Section Name, enter Package Revenue (Calculated).
- Change the Layout to 1-Column.
- Accept all other defaults and click OK.
- In the Booking Layout toolbar, click Visualforce Pages.
- Drag BookingPackageRevenue into the new section you just added.
- Click the Properties icon on the Visualforce page you just added and do the following:
- Set the Height to 275.
- Select the Show Scrollbars checkbox.
- Click OK.
- Click Save at the top of the Booking Layout page.
- Repeat this entire procedure for the Event Only Booking page layout (if applicable).
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking Event.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Event Layout.
- From the Booking Event Layout toolbar, drag a new section onto the layout under Attendance.
- In the Section Properties window (opens automatically), do the following:
- In the Section Name, enter Non Package Attendance.
- Accept all other defaults and click OK.
- In the Booking Event Layout toolbar, click Fields.
- Drag the following fields into the new section you just added.
- Agreed (Event)
- Expected (Event)
- Guaranteed (Event)
- Click Save at the top of the Booking Event Layout page.
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking Event.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Event Layout.
- From the Booking Event Layout toolbar, drag a new section onto the layout under Non Package Attendance.
- In the Section Properties window (opens automatically), do the following:
- In the Section Name, enter Package Attendance.
- Change the Layout to 1-Column.
- Accept all other defaults and click OK.
- In the Booking Event Layout toolbar, click Visualforce Pages.
- Drag EventPackageInline into the new section you just added.
- Click the Properties icon on the Visualforce page you just added and do the following:
- Select the Show Scrollbars checkbox.
- Click OK.
- Click Save at the top of the Booking Event Layout page.
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Document Template.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Document Template Layout.
- In the Document Template Layout toolbar, click Fields.
- Drag Booking Package Select onto the layout under Booking Other Income Select.
- Click Save at the top of the Document Template Layout page.
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Document Section.
- Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Document Section Layout.
- In the Document Section Layout toolbar, click Fields.
- Drag Packages Section and Guestroom Block Section to the Information section of the layout.
- Click Save at the top of the Document Section Layout page.
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Setup Value.
- Navigate to the Custom Fields & Relationships section and click Setup Value Type.
- Navigate to the Picklist Values related list and click New.
- In the box, enter CorporatePackageReference as a new value (note exact spelling, spacing, and casing).
- Select the Corporate Setup Value checkbox.
- Click Save.

In the Picklist values section, click the Reorder button.

Select the Sort Values Alphabetically checkbox, and then click Save.
The following steps only need to be completed if Add Corporate Package Reference as a Setup Value Type (see above) was completed.
- Go to Setup > Develop > Custom Settings.
- Navigate to Picklist Mapping and click Manage.
- Click Edit next to CorporatePackageReference.
- In the Field Description, enter the following text exactly as written:
This picklist is used to reference this specific Package to a Corporate Package. This allows for a Corporate user to pull reports on packages across their subscription.
- Click Save.
