Enable Multi-Link/Unlink

The following steps provide instructions on how to enable the Multi-Link/Unlink feature. This feature requires R18 or later. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To enable Multi-Link/Unlink

  1. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Inquiry.
  2. Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Inquiry Layout.
  3. In the Inquiry Layout toolbar, click Related Lists.
  4. Drag the second Booking related list to the layout above the existing Booking related list.

  5. At the top of the new Booking related list you just added, click Related List Properties to open the Related List Properties – Booking window.
  6. Add the following Available Fields to the Selected Fields list in this order: Booking, Created Date, MeetingBroker RFP ID, RFP Status, and Primary.
  7. Click + to expand the Buttons section of the window.
  8. Clear the New checkbox to remove that default button from the related list.
  9. Under Available Buttons, add Link Booking to the Selected Buttons list.
  10. Click OK.

  11. Click Save at the top of the Inquiry Layout page.
  12. Repeat this entire procedure for the RFP Inquiry Layout and Event Only Inquiry Layout.

    For historical purposes, the original Booking related list will continue to display the booking that was used to create an inquiry before your upgrade to R18. After you have begun using the Multi-Link feature in R18, linked bookings will be displayed in the new Booking related list you just added to the Inquiry layout.

  1. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking.
  2. Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Layout.
  3. In the Booking Layout toolbar, click Fields.
  4. Drag Primary Inquiry to the Information section below the Pickup Complete checkbox.
  1. In the Booking Layout toolbar, click Related Lists.
  2. Drag the Inquiries related list to the layout below Booking Other Incomes.
  3. Click Related List Properties above the Inquiries related list to open the Related List Properties – Inquiry window.
  4. Add the following Available Fields to the Selected Fields list in this order: Inquiry, Created Date, MeetingBroker RFP ID, RFP Status, and Primary.
  5. Click + to expand the Buttons section of the window.
  6. Add the following Available buttons to the Selected Buttons list in this order: Link Inquiry, Unlink Inquiries, and Make Primary.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save at the top of the Booking Layout page.
  9. Repeat this entire procedure for the Event Only Booking Layout.
