Enable property admin and gratuity
Administrators can now define property-specific admin and gratuity for their corporate revenue classifications. For example, if The City Hotel charges 20% gratuity for Food and Amadeus Plaza charges 18%, you can enter those percentages directly on the Food corporate revenue classification. When users add a food item to an event, the appropriate gratuity and admin is applied based on the property. This allows all properties to use the same corporate BEO and banquet check templates.
The following steps provide instructions on how to add the Property Admin and Gratuity related list to the Revenue Classification page layout. This feature requires R23 or later. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To add the Property Admin and Gratuity related list to the Revenue Classification page layout
- Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Revenue Classification.
- Go to Page Layouts and click Edit next to Revenue Classification Layout.
- In the Layout toolbar, click Related Lists.
- Drag Property Admin and Gratuity to the bottom of the page layout.
- Above the Property Admin and Gratuity related list, click the Related List Properties icon to open the Related List Properties – Property Admin and Gratuity window.
- Add the following Available Fields to the Selected Fields list in this order: Name, Property, Admin Charge, Gratuity, and Apply Admin & Gratuity to Discount.
- Click OK.
- Click Save at the top of the Revenue Classification Layout page.
