Enable State and Country Picklists
As of R35, Amadeus Sales & Catering is compatible with Salesforce's State & Country Picklist feature. Corporate administrators who choose to enable the feature must follow the Salesforce steps for Implementing State and Country Picklists.
Implementing State and Country Picklists - At a glance
- Configure the state and country values you want to use in your org.
Think of every country you receive leads from, and enter the states for those countries. Salesforce provides the states for United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Ireland, Italy and Mexico. If you work with other countries, you must enter the states manually. - Scan your org's data and customizations.
Before enabling this feature, you must scan your org to see how the changes will affect your data or customizations. You can then convert data and update customizations, such as list views, reports, and workflow rules so that they continue to work when this feature is enabled. - Convert existing data.
This process lets you map the various values in your org to standard picklist values. For example, map U.S, USA, and United States to US. - Turn on the picklists for your users.
If you turn on State and Country picklists without configuring values, scanning your org, and converting existing data, users can use the picklists in new records. However, all existing data is incompatible with the new format, which could compromise data consistency and integrity across the two field formats. - Optionally, rescan and fix customizations or records that have been created or edited since your first scan.

State and Country Picklist Limitations / Things to consider
- When State and Country picklists are enabled, Salesforce includes 239 countries by default; additional Countries can be manually added if required.
- States / Provinces are provided only for the following Countries: United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Ireland, Italy and Mexico.
- The corporate administrator should enter the States / Provinces for all Countries that you work with. If you don't, the State / Province field will be blank and users can't type into the field because it is a picklist.
- If you migrate data into your org, like appending a new property, this feature must be disabled for the duration of the migration. After the migration is complete, the corporate administrator is responsible for completing all the steps to enable the feature again, including scanning and mapping data.
This org-wide feature requires R35 or later. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.
