Overview: Event classification items

If you constantly add the exact same details to the BEO for certain events, add them as event classification items to save everyone time.

For example, your property always provides meetings with complimentary iced water, glasses, and dishes of mints on each table. To save users time, you add those items to the Meeting event classification. When a meeting event is created, those items will automatically appear on the event.

If your property sells packages, it is very helpful to create package-specific event classifications and assign default menus and items to them. For example, if all packages include the same Breakfast Buffet menu, you can add that menu to the Package Breakfast event classification. When you create the Package Breakfast on a booking, the Breakfast Buffet will be automatically added to the event, and the Included in Package check box will be selected for that menu. This is a big time-saver for users when they are detailing BEOs for package events. See Add menus and items to package events.
