Create tax groups

The content of this page is specific to the Delphi product type only. If you are using the Delphi Core product type and want to learn more about the Delphi product type, contact your sales representative.

The information in this topic applies to the tax function with version R20 and lower. To learn about the enhanced taxes feature available with version R21 and higher, refer to Overview: Enhanced taxes.

The first step to create a tax group is to name the group. You can then add individual taxes to the group and associate those taxes with the appropriate revenue classifications.

Tax groups are defined at the property level. Before you create a new tax group, you need to create the individual taxes that make up the group. These taxes can only be modified from the Property page, not on an individual booking event.

You need to be an administrator to create a tax group. Users cannot modify taxes when they create a booking event.

To create a tax group

  1. In the Tax Groups section of the Property page, click New Tax Group. The New Tax Group page displays.
  2. Enter a Name for the tax group, for example, Standard Tax Group or Tax Exempt Group.
  3. Enter a Description for the tax group.
  4. Click Save. The Tax Group page displays.
  5. Use the Taxes section to add the appropriate taxes to the tax group.
