Show or hide serve times per menu

Often, the banquet team needs to know what time to serve each menu. On occasion, you might not want serve times to display for all the menus on the BEO. As an administrator, you can choose whether to show or hide serve times on the BEO, by default, for each menu during menu creation. Users can then modify this setting for specific events in the Manage Menus and Items window.

To use this feature, your property needs to use the default BEO template. See Import Amadeus templates for more information.

To add the Hide Serve Times On BEO checkbox on the Simple Menu and Detailed Menu pages, follow the steps below.

This feature is only available with version R56 or higher. To determine the release installed in your org, see Installed Packages.

To add the Hide Serve Times On BEO checkbox

Select your Salesforce experience.

  1. Navigate to Setup.

  2. Under Build, click Create, then Objects, and then select Item from the list of labels.

  3. Hover over the Page Layouts related list and click Edit next to Simple Menu Property Record Layout. The Simple Menu Property Record page layout displays.

  4. In the Simple Menu Property Record Layout toolbar, click Fields.

  5. Find Hide Serve Times On BEO and drag it to the bottom of the BEO & Banquet Check Display section.

  6. Click Save and confirm your changes.

  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for all other Simple and Detailed Menu layouts.

  1. Navigate to Setup (Icon of a settings cog) and click Setup.

  2. Select the Object Manager tab and then select Item from the list of labels.

  3. Select Page Layouts.

  4. Select Simple Menu Property Record Layout from the list of page layouts. The Simple Menu Property Record page layout displays.

  5. In the Simple Menu Property Record Layout toolbar, click Fields.

  6. Find Hide Serve Times On BEO and drag it to the bottom of the BEO & Banquet Check Display section.

  7. Click Save and confirm your changes.

  8. Repeat steps 4-7 for all other Simple and Detailed Menu layouts.
