Discount menus and items

You can discount a menu or item on an event. The discount applies to the base price, exclusive of taxes, admin, and gratuity.

Depending on your property's standards, you can also apply admin and gratuity to the discount price. See Apply admin and gratuity to discounts.

To discount a menu or item

  1. Open the booking event and click Manage Menus and Items. The Manage Menus and Items window displays.
  2. Click Edit (Icon of a pencil) next to the menu or item to discount. The Editing Item Details window displays.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • For items and simple menus, enter the discount percentage in the Discount field.
    • For detailed menus, click the Items tab, click Edit (Icon of a pencil) next to the item, and then enter the Discount percentage.
  4. To apply admin and gratuity to the discounted price, do one of the following:
    • For items, select the Apply Admin & Gratuity to Discount Price checkbox.
    • For menus, select Apply Admin & Gratuity to Discount Price next to each applicable revenue classification on the Revenue Breakdown tab.

    If this checkbox is not selected, admin and gratuity charges apply to the base price of the menu or item.

  5. Click Save or Save and Close.
