Account details
After you create an account, the information you entered is shown at the top of this page and on the Additional Details tab. Feel free to modify any of this information, but don't forget that you're not the only one who can make changes.

If this account should be used by all of the properties in your org, select Share with All Properties.
If the Share With All Properties option is not selected, the account is automatically shared with the property that you are in when you create the account. If you want to share it with any additional properties, go to the Property Sharing tab and select the property.
If you don't see the property sharing options, accounts contacts are automatically shared with all properties in your system.

Whether you're prospecting a new lead or cultivating an existing relationship with a customer, it's important to know who the key decision makers are.
- To add someone new to the account, click the Contacts tab, click + Contact, and then enter the contact details.
- If you know the person already exists in your system, click Link Existing Contact, search for their name, and click Link.
- To remove a contact from the account, click the down arrow next to their name and select Unlink from Account.
The first person listed on the Contacts tab is given the honor of being the account's primary contact. This means that person will be added as the contact on all bookings created from the account. You can always give that title to someone else by clicking the down arrow next to their name and selecting Make Primary Contact.

Need an easy way to manage all your prospecting tasks? Check out the Activities tab. There you can create reminders for yourself to follow up on possible leads, send thank you letters, and so on. To add a new task or appointment, click + Activity and enter the details. We even like to create activities to log phone calls with customers. That way we have a complete history of all inquiries and other communications related to the account.
The Activities tab shows all tasks and appointments related to the account, including those that were created for an associated contact, inquiry, and booking.

A quick way to enter new business is either from the account or contact. From the Bookings tab, click + Booking to open the Booking page.

The account, its market segment, and its primary contact are automatically added to the booking. You can also use this tab to evaluate the account's worth since it shows you a history of business the account has brought to your property.

Sometimes duplicate accounts are created on accident, a company goes out of business, or the account just isn't working out and you don't want to call on them anymore. In cases like these, clear the Active check box on the Additional Details tab to keep your account list relevant. Inactive accounts are removed from search results and display gray in type-ahead fields. It's a good idea to add information in the Comments field to explain why it's inactive—especially if there are other properties in your system. If you have Corporate Administrator access, you can use the Join Accounts option that is found in the More... button. Before joining, it compares the two records side-by-side and allows you to select the best information to keep from each one.
We know building strong relationships with your customers is incredibly important. After all, loyal customers lead to repeat business and who doesn't love that?
