Satisfy MeetingBroker escalation
MeetingBroker can be configured to apply escalation to an RFP until one of the following conditions is met: the RFP is viewed or an action is taken on the RFP. At that point, MeetingBroker will stop sending escalation notifications.
The steps you take when you receive an RFP inquiry will determine whether or not escalation is satisfied. Check with your MeetingBroker administrator to determine if you're using escalation and if they have opted for the View or Action policy.
For MeetingBroker to consider an RFP as viewed, you need to perform one of the following actions on the inquiry:
- Click the Confirm Receipt field to indicate the inquiry has been viewed but more time is needed to evaluate it.
- Click the View Recap button. This will automatically select the Confirm Receipt field on the inquiry.
- Change the status of the inquiry to Turndown to indicate the property will not be bidding on the business.
- Click the + Booking button and then save the new booking.
For MeetingBroker to consider an RFP as actioned, you need to perform one of the following actions:
- Change the status of the inquiry to Turndown to indicate the property will not be bidding on the business.
- Create a booking from the inquiry, click More..., select Send Proposal, and then submit a proposal.
- Create a booking from the inquiry and then change it to a terminal status (Definite, Lost, Turned Down, or Cancelled).
Administrators: see MeetingBroker Training & Help to learn how to work with escalation settings.
