Reassign accounts
Administrators can reassign owners for accounts when a user has left the organization.
To reassign accounts
- Select the Account tab.
- Select one of the following:
- Account Owner
- Migrated Account Owner
- Select a Market Segment if you want to limit the market segments to be reassigned. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Enter a City, State, Country, or Region if applicable. To update all records, leave these blank.
- Click Search.
- Select all the accounts to be reassigned.
- Select a new Account Owner.
- Click Update Owners, and click Yes to confirm.
- Click Audit/History to view progress.
- Click the Log Entry Number to view all updated entries and to download the CSV file of changes.
Validation rules in your database could cause records to fail, and some records may have to be updated manually. View the details of any invalid records in the audit history files.
