Reassign tasks
Administrators can reassign owners for tasks when a user has left the organization. This ensures that activities can be followed up. You can also use this feature to clean up uncompleted tasks after you have migrated a new property to your database.
To reassign tasks
- Select one of the following:
- Assigned To user
- Migrated Assigned To user
- Select a Type if you want to limit the task type to be reassigned. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Select a Status if you want to limit the status type to be reassigned. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Enter a Start From Date if you want to limit updates to records from a specified date forward. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Click Search.
- Select all the tasks to be reassigned.
- Select a new Assigned To owner.
- Click Update Owners and click Yes to confirm.
- Click Audit/History to view progress.
- Click the Log Entry Number to view all updated entries and to download the CSV file of changes.
To mark incomplete tasks completed
- Select one of the following:
- Assigned To user
- Migrated Assigned To user
- Select a Type if you want to limit the task type to be marked complete. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Select a Status if you want to limit the status type to be marked complete. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Enter a Start From Date if you want to limit updates to records from a specified date forward. To update all records, leave this blank.
- Click Search.
- Select all the tasks to be marked complete.
- Select the Completed check box.
- Click Update Owners and click Yes to confirm.
- Click Audit/History to view progress.
- Click Log Entry Number to view all updated entries and to download the CSV file of changes.
Validation rules in your database could cause records to fail, and some records may have to be updated manually. View the details of any invalid records in the audit history files.
