Corporate administrator's guide to managing multi-module orgs
The content of this page is specific to the Delphi Core product type. If you are using the Delphi product type, click here to access the Delphi-specific online help.
Amadeus Sales & Catering has two modules: Delphi and Delphi Select. The Delphi Select module is for smaller properties with fewer services that do not require all the features of Delphi.
To switch from Delphi to Delphi Select
You can use the application menu at the top of the page to switch from Delphi to Delphi Select.
-
In Salesforce Lightning, the application menu is in the top-left corner of any page.
You can right-click the Delphi Select link to open Delphi Select in a new tab. Then, you can switch back and forth between modules as needed.
To switch from Delphi Select to Delphi
Corporate administrators with version R50 or higher can use the application menu in Delphi Select to switch to Delphi. When you select Delphi, a new browser tab launches. Then, you can switch back and forth between modules as needed.
Setup Values
Corporate setup values are shared with all properties, regardless of the module. When a new Delphi Select property is created, it comes with a default set of property setup values including market segments, event classifications, and function room setups. Those setup values display along with your corporate values.
Before you create corporate setup values, consider the impact those values can have on Delphi Select users. While the setup values are shared, some Delphi corporate features do not impact Delphi Select properties including:
- Corporate merge templates
- Corporate menus
Users
To add a new user to a single module
If a new user only needs access to one module, the easiest way to create them is in that module.
-
To add a user in Delphi Select - From the Delphi Select Home page, click Setup, and then Users. Follow the on-screen Training & Help to create the user and add the appropriate property access.
-
To add a user in Delphi - See Create users.
To add a new user to both modules
If a new user needs access to both Delphi and Delphi Select properties, follow these steps:
- Create the user in Delphi, and assign the appropriate license and profile.
- Click the Permission Set Assignments section, click Edit Assignments, and add the appropriate permission sets for each module.
- In the Manage User Property Access window, assign the user access to the appropriate properties. Ensure the user's default property is a Delphi property.
For Delphi Select properties, always assign the Edit All Records permission for administrators.
Below are the configurations that need to be applied, based on the user's role.
Access type |
User license |
Profile |
Permission set |
---|---|---|---|
User access | Salesforce Platform | Sales and Catering User | Sales & Catering User |
Property admin access - without the ability to create users | Salesforce Platform | Sales and Catering Property Administrator | Sales & Catering Property Administrator Standard & Essentials User |
Admin access - with the ability to create users | Salesforce | Sales and Catering Corporate Administrator | Sales & Catering Corporate Administrator Standard & Essentials Administrator |
Amadeus recommends that users responsible for managing bookings in both modules complete all work in Delphi only. As long as the user has access to the properties, they can do all work without an additional Delphi Select permission set.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
When MFA is enabled on the user profile, you can work in either module to update your users. When you assign the Enable Multi-Factor Authentication permission to a user in Delphi, the Enable Multi-Factor Authentication checkbox is automatically selected in Delphi Select. Likewise, when you assign the permission in Delphi Select, the permission is also assigned in Delphi.
Merge documents
A default set of merge templates is provided for each Delphi Select property. This set includes contracts, a proposal, and a group resume.
If you have a brand standard document you want your Delphi Select properties to use, you can share a corporate template from Delphi.
Only Advanced Booking template types can be shared with Delphi Select properties.
To share a corporate template from Delphi
- Navigate to Document Templates.
- Either select an existing corporate template, or create a new corporate template.
-
In the Document Template Edit page, select the Share with Delphi Select checkbox.
After you save, the new template is available to all Delphi Select users when they click Print Booking.
BEOs, Banquet Checks, and Booking Checks are not supported. Delphi Select properties need to use the default property templates for these documents for correct revenue classification mapping.
Account security
With version R43 and higher
-
If your Salesforce Organization-Wide Default for accounts is set to Public Read/Write, all users have access to all accounts and contacts, regardless of the module.
-
If your org uses the Private sharing model, review the Default Account Sharing option in the Admin Settings page in Delphi Select. You can choose if new accounts are automatically shared with all properties.
With version R42 and lower
-
You have a choice regarding the sharing of accounts in Delphi, but in Delphi Select all accounts and contacts are shared with all properties.
-
If your org uses the public sharing model, all users have access to all accounts and contacts, regardless of the module.
-
If your org uses the private sharing model:
- Accounts created in Delphi are only accessible to properties with access to the account.
- All properties can be selected when sharing the account in Delphi, regardless of the module.
- Accounts created in Delphi Select are shared automatically to all properties, in both modules.
Viewing and editing properties
To view all properties in your org, regardless of the module, click the Properties tab. Amadeus recommends adding the Is Delphi Select field to your list view to see which module is associated with each property.
You can view the details of any property from Delphi. However, if you need to edit a Delphi Select property, you must switch to Delphi Select and make your edits in that module.
Inclusive pricing
Inclusive pricing is available for the Delphi Select module, with version R38 and higher. If you enable inclusive pricing, the feature applies to all properties regardless of the module. If you use inclusive pricing in Delphi and have existing Delphi Select properties, the inclusive pricing fields and merge templates display upon upgrade to version R38 or higher. See Overview: Inclusive pricing for Delphi Select
