Delphi Diagramming R3 release notes
Delphi Diagramming combines online software and services so properties can meet the demands of today’s event planners. With Delphi Diagramming, meeting spaces are presented in engaging and interactive ways, showcasing properties in the best light. This provides event planners with the information they need to make informed decisions and develop a short list of candidates for their events. Convenient navigation capabilities and a Start page make it easy for event planners to obtain information quickly. With integration to Google Maps and Google controls as well as attractions and points of interest views, event planners can see a property in relation to nearby attractions. And because Delphi Diagramming’s app now supports HTML5, users can take advantage of its features from any device, including tablets.
New features and enhancements
Apps
- After you’ve used Automatic Layout to select a seating style, you can use the new Design Mode to drag and drop objects onto your event diagram. Design Mode also provides these features to help you customize your setup:
- Object Settings enables you to specify table and chair size, chair number, and their arrangement around the table.
- The Group, Ungroup, Delete, Rotate, and Duplicate toolbar buttons allow you to manipulate the individual objects in the diagram.
- The Select toolbar button lets you select objects in the room, while the Pan button lets you move the canvas around to view different areas (for example, after you’ve zoomed in).
- At any point, you can save the diagram URL for future reference and editing.
- When Get Quote is clicked, the URL of the event diagram is now available to be mapped to your RFP form.
- Clicking View All now displays rooms without a seating style rather than showing seats arranged in Theater style. As a result, shared spaces (such as foyers) can be shown.
- A new Room Combinations option in the Room Details window enables easy switching between a combination room (such as the Dover Ballroom) and any of its combinations (such as Dover Ballroom A, Dover Ballroom B, Dover Ballroom AB, etc.).
-
Arabic is now supported in all the Delphi Diagramming apps.
-
Passwords are no longer included in the confirmation emails that are sent for customer registrations from Delphi Diagramming.
Administration
-
The Capacity Editor enables you to hide the capacity of specific rooms in the Visual Capacity Chart. This is helpful for shared spaces, such as foyers, that can accommodate multiple groups.
-
The Options Editor includes a new Display Capacity Disclaimer option for the Visual Capacity Chart app, which explains why Delphi Diagramming’s dimensions and total area may differ from a property’s marketing materials. Delphi Diagramming takes into consideration alcoves, pillars/columns, wall protrusions, etc., as well as aisle spacing and other details that may result in slight differences in settable space measurements.
Additional information
The following are known issues in this release of the product:
CR0091062: U-shaped tables place chairs around a dance floor until a stage is added to that diagram.
CR0091304, CR0121129, CR0121137, CR0121151: Delphi Diagramming provides limited support for Internet Explorer (IE) 9. If you are using IE 9, you will not be able to do the following:
- Upload media to the Media Editor.
- Share event diagrams.
- Load Delphi Diagramming Room Planning (if IE 9 is in Compatibility Mode).
Additionally, you may find that objects become inaccessible when you drag them off the canvas in Event Diagrams.
Workaround: Upgrade to a new version of IE or use an alternative browser, such as Chrome or Firefox.
CR0091330: All table sizes are available for selection in event diagrams, without indication of whether the table is an inventory or non-inventory item. Non-inventory items are frequently used as rental items.
CR0091354: Rooms may load slowly when viewed in IE 10.
Workaround: Use IE 11, Chrome, or Firefox.
CR0091367: Repeatedly switching between virtual tours on a tablet may result in performance issues.
CR0091371: Translations are currently not available for the Upload window which is accessed via the Upload CADs page.
CR0091449: The Traffic Sources report currently does not translate the text Direct Traffic to other languages.
CR0121130: When duplicating grouped objects, performance may slow as you add more objects to the selection.
