Create teams
The most commonly used teams, (Engineering and Housemen) are already defined for you, but you might find, as you work with the application, you want to expand its use to other groups at your property. Easily done, just create a new team.
To create a team
Click .

- Enter the Team Name.
- Select the Delivery Rule.

There are two delivery rules: Assign,or Everyone.
HotSOS Desktop
There are five delivery rules: Assign, Everyone, Simple Rotation, Intelligent Rotation, and Cascade, With the exception of Assign, orders will be sent to team members who are logged in and on duty.
Assign and Everyone are delivery rules most often used. The other delivery rules can address unique team situations and we encourage you to explore them.

In the Available column, select
to the left of user name. Select more than one name if applicable.

at the bottom of the page to move the users to the Selected column.

Click and hold the user card in the Selected column.

Click to drag the card up or down and release once it is in place. This determines the order the team receives work and ensures equitable distribution when using delivery rules like Simple Rotation, Intelligent Rotation, or Cascade.

In the Available column, select the devices to be added to the team.

at the bottom of the page to move the devices to the Selected column.

While assigning work to devices is not often used, it can be used effectively. For example, let's say there are four MOD's who take turns working overnight. There is only one MOD device. If you assign orders to the device, any MOD will receive them once they log in to the device.
If you selected a team member (user), do not also add their device. HotSOS sends two notifications. One for the user and one for the device.

Teams can include both users and devices. If you have a mixed team of users and devices, you will order each separately on their respective tabs.
Users receive orders before devices.

Team roles override the roles assigned to individuals.

In the Available column, select the roles to be assigned to the team.

at the bottom of the page to move the roles to the Selected column.
Click to save.
