New features
ChromeTM & Edge to manage REX (HotSOS Housekeeping). Internet Explorer, the browser currently used to maintain and manage REX (HotSOS Housekeeping), is to be decommissioned soon. Not to worry—we’ve got you covered. You can now use either Google ChromeTM or Microsoft Edge to access REX. Simply launch one of the two browsers, enter the REX URL, bookmark it, and there you have it—REX as you know it!
Don’t have either browser? Contact your IT department and request: ChromeTM (v93 or higher) or Edge (v92 or higher).

- Report Subscriptions. In HotSOS Thick Client, Report Subscriptions no longer require Microsoft Silverlight (discontinued October 12, 2021). What exactly does this mean? You might notice the slightly fresher look, the new hour, minutes, and AM/PM fields in the time parameters, and the new Email field. Use the New, Details, and Delete buttons at the top of the page to manage subscriptions, instead of right-clicking.
-
Report Subscriptions security enhancement. We’ve added an extra layer of security. If you’ve been logged into HotSOS for more than one hour, you’ll need to log out and log back in to work in Report Subscriptions or Subscription Log.

A new way to create delivery orders. In HotSOS Mobile, you can now create a delivery order, for both guests and staff, the same way you create a service order. Tap + to create and then select New Service Order. In the Issue field, select one or more amenities. See the following topic for step-by-step instructions: Create service orders
-
An additional layer of security. We're pleased to announce that in July 2021, we will be implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for HotSOS Select. All users with Adminstrator role will be required to use MFA. What does this mean? When logging in, you’ll be prompted to enter your mobile phone number or email address. We'll then send you a verification code. You simply enter the code, and you're in! This extra step helps confirm that it's really you—and not a nefarious hacker.

HotSOS Mobile is getting a new look. To align with the Amadeus brand, we're changing the color of the HotSOS Mobile user interface from orange to blue. Everything will work as it does now. Like changing your hair color, it's still you—just a new look. To minimize any surprises, please share this information with all team members. Watch for this towards the end of May. We'll keep you posted.
