Add the event date to the Corporate BEO template
The following steps provide instructions on how to add the event date to the standard Corporate BEO template that comes with R2.
If you are upgrading to R3 or later, you can simply upload the latest version of the Corporate BEO template and add it as a new attachment to your document template. No additional updates are needed.

To add the event date to the Corporate BEO template
- Navigate to Document Templates, and then click Go.
- Click Corporate BEO.
The Document Template page opens.
- Navigate to the Notes & Attachments section and click the first attached BEO version (this is the active template).
The Attached File page opens.
- Click View File to open the template in Microsoft Word.
- Log in to the Merge Add-In Tool.
- In the Select Document Type picklist, select BEO.
- In the template, click in the blank cell next to Event Date.
- In the Merge Tool, select the BEO Event Date field and click the Insert Field button.
- The BEOEventDate field is displayed in the cell you selected.
- Right-click the BEOEventDate field and click Toggle Field Codes.
- Add \@ "ddd, MM/dd/yy" to the end of the field name. You can also choose to apply a different date format.
- Save this new BEO file under a different name so it can be distinguished from the previous version.
- Reattach this new version to the Corporate BEO document template.
