Add the Change Owner button to the Booking layout

This information refers to the Change Owner button introduced in 2016. To enable the Change Owner button introduced with R55, see Enable the Change Owner task notification feature.

Properties working with large bookings (500 or more events) can add the new Change Owner button to the Booking page layout. This expedites the process of reassigning a large booking from one owner to another.

Most properties won't need to use the Change Owner button, but if you encounter performance delays when reassigning bookings, you can add the button to your layout at any time.

The following steps provide instructions on how to add the Change Owner button to the Booking page layout.

To add the Change Owner button to the Booking page layout

  1. Go to Setup > Create > Objects > Booking.
  2. Navigate to the Page Layouts section and click Edit next to Booking Layout.
  3. In the Booking Layout toolbar, click Buttons.
  4. Drag the Change Owner button to the Custom Buttons section of the page.
  5. Click Save at the top of the Booking Layout page.
  6. Repeat this entire procedure for the Event Only Booking Layout.
