Quote event prices in alternate currencies

When your property uses the alternate currencies feature, you can display another currency on BEOs, Banquet Checks, and advanced booking documents.
Additional information
- Only the currencies that your administrator has enabled for your property are available.
- Alternate currencies are not supported for guestrooms, other income, packages, and cross-property events.
- An administrator can change the default converted prices. You can manually update the prices on an event if the exchange rate has changed, and then ask your administrator to update them in setup.
- You can only select one alternate currency for a merge document.
- Dual currencies can only display on the BEO, Banquet Check, or advanced booking documents, such as a Booking Check. However, the currency list always displays when you merge a document regardless of the template type you select.
- When cloning a booking, alternate prices for function room rental and menus and items are copied from the source booking, not the default prices from setup.
To create a document with an alternate currency
- From the Manage Events window of the booking, click Quote Prices.
- Select an event to work with. Starting with the Items tab, review or add prices in the unit price fields. Your property administrator might have converted the prices for menus and items in setup. In this situation, the prices automatically populate for you. Depending on your property's process, you might need to update the pricing using an exchange rate. Save your changes as you progress through the tabs.
Use the search bar to filter each tab and find specific items or menus.
- Items - Enter the converted price in alternate currencies.
- Simple Menus - Click the name of a menu to expand the details and display the Revenue Breakdowns. Enter the converted price for each applicable revenue breakdown.
- Detailed Menus - Click the name of the menu to display the Revenue Breakdowns and Menu Items if priced individually. Enter the prices in the alternate currency field.
- Function Rooms - Enter the converted price for room rental.
You can click Manage Menus & Items to add additional items and return to this page to continue adding alternate prices. When you return, click Refresh next to the Booking Event list to display the newly added items.
- Click Close and Yes to continue.
- From the booking page, click Merge or Batch Merge.
- Select a BEO, Banquet Check, or advanced booking template, and select the currency to use in the Alternate Currencies list.
- Click Generate.
