Add items to choice groups
The content of this page is specific to the Delphi product type only. If you are using the Delphi Core product type and want to learn more about the Delphi product type, contact your sales representative.
Items must already exist before you can add them to a choice group. Each choice group needs to include at least two selections.
To add an item to a choice group
- In the Choice Group Items section of the Choice Group page, click Add Choice Group Item.
- Find and select the first Item you want to add.
- Enter the Sort Order. This indicates the order in which the item displays when the menu is added to an event.
- In the Unit Price field, do one of the following:
- If the choice group is included in the menu price, leave the Unit Price field blank. The item's price displays when you save. However, when you add the choice group to the menu, you can indicate that it needs to be priced with the menu. This ensures that the item's price is not included in the revenue calculations for the menu.
- If the choice group is not included in the menu price, enter the Unit Price of this item. For example, Cheesecake is 5.00 when sold individually, but when sold with a choice group, the price is 3.00. If the item price is the same whether sold individually or as part of a choice group, you can leave this field blank. The price defaults when you save. When you add the choice group to the menu, you can indicate that the item is not priced with the menu.
- Select Is Default to choose this item as the default selection when the user is not prompted with the Select Choice Group Items window. This can happen when a menu with a choice group is the default menu on an event classification.
