Daily Transactions report

The Daily Transactions Report displays a detailed list of booking activity for a day or date range. For each transaction, you'll see basic details that provide an overview of the booking, such as the current status and arrival date. Then, you'll see the information that was changed and who made the update. Having this list at your fingertips is useful for identifying anomalies that may have occurred. For example, if a tentative booking suddenly moved dates and that affected your forecast for the month, you can use this report to explain the revenue shift from one month to another.

You'll see a breakdown by day of new bookings, updated bookings, or lost/ cancelled business. If the change affected revenue, we'll show you the difference as a percentage. Click the booking abbreviation to open the booking and review more details.

The following information is displayed for each booking. Changes are listed in chronological order from the oldest to the most recent date. Each booking is first summarized with the current details including status, booking owner, the user that most recently modified the booking, arrival and departure dates, and booking blended revenue total.

New Bookings Shows bookings created within the activity date range and the current details.
    Updated Bookings

Shows bookings that were modified during the activity date range in one of the following ways:

    • Changed dates

    • Upgraded status

    • Revenue change

    • Attendance change

    • Reassigned to new owner

For guestroom details, the changes are broken down by pattern date so that you're able to see updates to the total occupancy and average rate per day.

Changed Value: The name of the field that was modified. In the first row, the user that made the change displays (Modified By).
Previous Value: The value on the date before it was changed. For example, a booking changed status on the 9th to tentative and then on the 10th to definite. When the report is run for the activity date of 9th March, the previous value will show prospect. When the report is run for the 10th, the previous value will show tentative.
Current Value: The new value of the field after it was updated.
% Change: For changes related to revenue or occupancy, the percentage increase or decrease is shown. (Current Value - Previous Value/ Previous Value x 100). Percentages are not calculated if the previous value was 0.
Good to know: Bookings that have been both created and modified during the activity date range will display in both the New Bookings and Updated Bookings sections. For example, a new booking for a wedding is created and saved for June and then the arrival date is changed to July later the same day. The booking will show it was created in the New Bookings section and the change of arrival date will display in the Updated Bookings section.
Cancelled/TurnedDown/Lost Bookings Bookings that have changed status to Cancelled, TurnedDown, or Lost display in this section. The status before the change was made is followed by the current status.
Deleted Bookings Shows bookings that were deleted during the activity date range. Clicking on the booking abbreviation will not open the booking if it is in the Recycle Bin, or permanently deleted. To review more details about a deleted booking, first recover it from the Recycle Bin.
