Create a new contact for personal data store

Before you create a new contact, ensure that it does not already exist. If your property requires storing a copy of contact data, follow these steps. Otherwise, see Create contacts.

To create a contact

  1. Open the associated account.
  2. In the Contacts section, click New Contact (Personal Data Store).
  3. Complete the fields on the page, as needed.

    In addition to the standard information, you can enter the following details about the contact:

    Information details
    Send to Personal Data Store Leave this option selected to store a copy of the contact's information.
    Account Name When you create a contact from the Account page, the name of the account displays here. You can associate the contact with a different account, if needed.
    Dear Enter the greeting that can be used when writing to this person. For example, if the contact's name is Anthony Chamberlain, you might enter 'Mr. Chamberlain' in this field.
    Address Information This section displays the contact's mailing address and, if applicable, a secondary address.
    Description This field displays any additional information about the contact that is helpful to remember.
    Properties Select the properties that need to store a copy of the contact's data.

    Your default property is selected by default. Other properties you have access to display if data storage is available.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save to save your changes and open the Contact page.
    • Click Cancel to discard your changes.
