Create other income items
An other income item generates revenue that is not included in the standard event and guestroom categories. Examples include golf, spa, transportation, parking, restaurant meals, and ski lift tickets. Other income items can be sold individually or as part of a package.
Other income items are created on the property level by an administrator and are available only to bookings and packages at the same property. For additional information on managing other income items, see Overview: Other income items.
To create an other income item
- Open the property, navigate to the Other Income section, and then click New.
The New Other Income page opens.
- Complete the fields on this page, as needed.

| Name | The name of the other income item as you want it to be displayed (for example, One Hour Massage). |
| Abbreviation | The item abbreviation. Users can search on this field, as well as the Name and Description fields, to find an other income item. |
| Property | The name of the property where the other income item is available. If you are creating the item from the Property page, the name of that property defaults in the field. Otherwise, find and select the property. |
| Active | When selected, the other income item is available to users. When cleared, the item is retired and no longer appears in picklists for selection. |
| Other Income Category | Select the category where you want to group the other income item in your merge documents. You may choose to group all other income items under a single category called "Other" and display them all in one table in documents. Or, if you want to display like items in separate tables, you'll need more specific categories. (Each category makes a table.) For example, if you have a section in your contract or resume for Spa, and you want to display how many massages, facials, and pedicures the group has reserved, you can create a category for Spa. You must define your Other Income Category setup values prior to assigning a category. |
| Description | A rich-text description of the other income item. Use the formatting toolbar to customize the appearance of this description on customer-facing documents. |

| Price | The per person price. |
| Revenue Association | S&C - Sales and Catering. Revenue is displayed on the Booking page and in merge documents, such as the booking check. Non S&C - Non Sales and Catering. Revenue is displayed on the Booking page but not in merge documents (for example, an event cancellation fee). This value can't be changed after you save. |
| Revenue Classification |
This indicates where revenue will roll up to on the Booking page and in reports. For example, a massage might be allocated to Other, or if you have a custom revenue classification for Spa you can assign that. This value can't be changed after you save. |
- Do one of the following:
- Click Save to save your changes and return to the Other Income page.
- Click Save and New to create a new other income item.
- Click Cancel to discard your changes.
