View the details of a tax in a tax group

The information in this topic applies to the tax function with version R20 and lower. To learn about the enhanced taxes feature available with version R21 and higher, refer to Overview: Enhanced taxes.
The Tax Group Tax page displays the following information about the tax that is added to a tax group:
Field | Description |

Tax Group Detail | |
Tax Group | This is the tax group associated with this tax. |
Name | This is the name of the tax as it displays on the tax group. |
Compound | This indicates if this tax applies to a revenue value that includes previous taxes. All taxes with a higher sort order in the tax group need to have the same revenue classifications and the same Applies To selection. |
Applies To | This value indicates which charges the tax applies to:

Affects Guestroom Block | With this option selected, this tax is guestroom-specific. The calculated tax displays on the booking check. |
Flat Rate Applies | This value indicates how a flat rate tax applies. It does not apply to percentage taxes.
If you select Per Quantity for a guestroom tax, the Affects Guestroom Block checkbox also needs to be selected. |
Sort Order | This field is used with the Compound checkbox. The value controls which taxes to include in the tax group calculation and the order in which each needs to be handled. All taxes with a higher sort order in the tax group need to have the same revenue classifications and the same Applies To selection. |
Tax | This is the associated tax. Click this link to view the tax rate information. |
Property | This is the property where the tax was created. |
