Whether you're a new customer onboarding the entire team or you just hired a new employee—we have a variety of educational content to get the team up to speed and productive in the system.
A strong onboarding strategy ensures each new team member receives a warm welcome and has the direction and resources to feel confident and productive in their new role.
We've worked with thousands of customers over the years. Based on this experience, we've crafted a series of courses to deliver just the right amount of knowledge transfer to get users in the system and booking business. Let us help you train the team so you can focus on your guests!
The following content is always available to users while working in the system on the Amadeus Training & Help tab. You can also access it from outside the product using this link Training & Help Delphi. This allows you to start training before you even get your login.
Training
Take some time to familiarize yourself with this content so you can direct the team. These courses include best practices, quiz questions, and how-to videos for more complex processes. In addition, we offer closed captions in 9 different languages. When you know you're getting a new employee, send them an email with a link to one of the following training courses.
Test Your Knowledge
Our scenario-based assessments are a fantastic way to extend learning, build confidence, and verify comprehension. The assessment is a learning tool and can be taken as many times as needed. Our assessments are located in our learning management system, Amadeus Learning Universe (ALU); your single source for our training offerings and tracking your learning activity. If you don't already have access, click here to request a login now. Once you are logged in, choose the ALU assessment that best fits your role.
Sales and Catering manager assessment
Upon passing an assessment, users receive a certificate of completion in their e-mail. Certificates can also be accessed anytime from the ALU under My History or My Dashboard.
On-Demand Training
If you prefer a more structured learning approach, free training for Delphi can be found in the ALU. Get started by viewing the Delphi product training page. Here you will find:
- Learning paths - custom collections of lessons that guide you with your learning based on your role and responsibilities.
- Lessons - individual courses that you can search for by a specific topic.
Summary
Unlike 20 years ago, hospitality professionals are perfectly comfortable using technology—so they just need to learn the basic flow of how and where information is stored so they can create bookings, BEOs, enter activities and so forth. And remember, they don't need to know everything on day one.
Have them take one of the above training courses, it will take about 3 - 4 hours depending on how many videos they watch and how quickly they consume the information. It's certainly not required, but we encourage everyone to take one of the assessments, it's a great learning tool and helps users hone in on areas where a bit more training could be helpful.
Finally, have them enter a few accounts and bookings—they'll make mistakes, and that's okay! Mistakes are for learning—you might be surprised how quickly they are booking business with confidence.
