Locales
Locales are a series of words or short phrases that are generally reused multiple times throughout your website. In order to avoid having to manually change the same copy multiple times, locales allow you to make the change in one place and the system will automatically update it everywhere. Access locales through Interface Menu > Settings > Locales.
Locales have a default value that you can choose to overwrite. If no alternative is necessary, leave the field blank and the default locale will be used.
To create an Overwrite Value
-
Use the Search function at the top of the screen to locate a specific word or phrase.
-

-
Click SAVE
Best Practice: All locales use specifically for Guest Portal pages will include GMS in the default name. Search GMS on the Locales screen to find Guest Portal specific locales.
Remember to do a local preview to ensure everything new looks as expected. Once ready, publish the website so changes become visible on the live site.
