Edit room blocks

• Name - This is the name of the room block. If you have multiple room blocks on the same booking, adjust the name to describe each block.
• Move Room Block - If you need to move the room block to a different date range but not move the entire booking, you can use this option. Select Move Room Block and change the Arrival Date. The Departure Date is automatically calculated based on the number of room nights in the block.
• Arrival Date and Departure Date - Adjust the dates to change the number of nights on the block.

  A booking's arrival and departure dates are automatically adjusted as the room blocks are updated. For example, if a group is scheduled to arrive on October 5 and you add a shoulder date of October 4 to the room block, the booking's arrival date becomes October 4.
  
  When the arrival date of the booking is updated, the cutoff date is also recalculated based on your property settings.

• PMS ID/Group Code - Enter the code used by thePMS to create the corresponding block.

• Pickup Complete - The Pickup Complete checkbox is selected automatically if the Mark Pickup Complete checkbox is selected on the Property page. After pickup is marked complete on all the booking's room blocks, the Pickup Complete checkbox is automatically selected on the Booking page. Actual guestroom revenue is then used for reporting.

  If your property is integrated with a PMS, you might not need to enter pickup or mark the room block complete. For more information, contact your administrator.

• Auto Default Rates - Clear this checkbox if you do not want your property's default upcharge amounts to automatically apply to double, triple and quad rates. If the Enable Default Occupancy Upcharge checkbox is selected on the Property page, all room blocks have Auto Default Rates selected, by default.

• Remove Room Block - Click this button to remove the block from the booking.

Make any necessary changes on the Advanced tab. Many of these fields default from the booking. This tab includes the following options:

• Room Block Status - Select the appropriate Room Block Status if different from the booking. If your property configuration does not allow you to manage the status of the room block independent of the booking, this field is read-only.

  When properties with an external availability integration change the room block status to tentative or definite, a warning message might display. This can happen when the room block numbers exceed the available inventory.

• Housing Method - Select the appropriate Housing Method if different from the booking. After this value is changed, updates to the housing method on the booking page do not update the room block.
• Cutoff Date - Enter the appropriate cutoff date if different from the booking.
• Tax Group - Select the appropriate tax group if different from the booking. For example, if this room block needs to be tax exempt, change the tax group value from the default to a tax exempt group.
• Billing Instructions - Select the billing instructions for the block.
• Incidentals Billing - Select how additional charges need to be settled.
• Meal Plan Type - Select which meals are included in the guestroom rate.
• Meal Plan Rate Per Person - Enter the necessary value if a meal is included in the guestroom rate.
• Confidential Rate - Select this checkbox to inform users not to share the rate with the guest.

• Alternate Name - If your property uses alternate languages, you can enter an Alternate Name for the room block. This field might be sent to the property's PMS, depending on the integration settings.
• Block Start Date and Block End Date - Adjust the dates to change the number of nights on the block.
