View guest messages

Guest messages display at check-in and check-out. Guest messages are used to leave a message for the guest.

If the property has a pay-TV interface that supports this feature, the guest can read the message left for them in their room.

To view the guest messages

  1. From the home page, do one of the following to open the Seek page:
    • Press CTRL+F on your keyboard.

    • Click the front desk menu in the top bar and click Locate guest.

    • Click the Locate guest button () from the in house navigation menu.

  2. Modify the search fields as appropriate. All fields are optional.

    Search details

    Number

    Enter the unique confirmation number of the reservation.

    Name

    Enter the last name of the guest, company name or travel agent name.

    Days in advance

    Enter the number of days to search.

    The search can be for up to 7 days. If 7 is entered, the system searches 7 days forward 7 days back from current day.

  3. Click Confirm (). A browse locate guest page displays with the searched guest information.
  4. Do one of the following to open the appropriate reservation page:
    • Select the reservation and click Confirm ().

    • Double-click the reservation.

  5. Click the Tools icon () and select Guest messages. The Guest message page displays.
  6. To view the message, double-click it.

New messages have an N status. Printed message have a P status. Deleted messages have an X status.
The message icon () is visible in the top bar of the reservation, when guest messages are attached.
