Send multi-factor authentication
When creating new users in the portal, an automatic multi-factor authentication SMS is sent to their mobile phone. This link is only active for 24 hours. If the link expires, a manual multi-factor authentication SMS must be sent via the portal.
The link is needed for the user to install the DUO multi-factor authenticator on their phone.
Prerequisites

The user must exist in the portal.

The mobile phone number must be valid.

Only superusers can access other user profiles
To send a new multi-factor authentication message
- From the portal, hover over Settings > Property and then click Users. The Property Users page displays.
- Click the edit icon behind the user (
). The User page displays.
- Click Actions.
- Click the Send Activation button. A duo activation message displays confirming the message has been sent to the known phone number.
