Send multi-factor authentication

When creating new users in the portal, an automatic multi-factor authentication SMS is sent to their mobile phone. This link is only active for 24 hours. If the link expires, a manual multi-factor authentication SMS must be sent via the portal.

The link is needed for the user to install the DUO multi-factor authenticator on their phone.

Prerequisites

To send a new multi-factor authentication message

  1. From the portal, hover over Settings > Property and then click Users. The Property Users page displays.
  2. Click the edit icon behind the user (). The User page displays.
  3. Click Actions.
  4. Click the Send Activation button. A duo activation message displays confirming the message has been sent to the known phone number.
