Send multi-factor authentication
When creating new users in the portal, an automatic multi-factor authentication SMS is sent to their mobile phone. The user receives two text messages, each with a link. The first link is to download the application, DUO. The second link is to activate their APMA account to DUO. The second link is only active for 24 hours. If the link expires, a manual multi-factor authentication SMS must be sent via the portal.
The link is needed for the user to install the DUO multi-factor authenticator on their phone and activate their account for a successful login.
