Assign the Banquet Access permission set to users

Corporate administrators can extend the functionality of their View Only users by assigning them the Banquet Access permission set. This is especially helpful for banquet captains and other users who need to access only a few areas to complete their daily tasks, such as entering actuals and batch printing banquet checks. The following table details what the Banquet Access permission set allows a View Only user to do:

To modify Agreed, Forecast, and Guaranteed attendance, use the Booking Package Attendance page. Actual attendance can be entered directly on the Booking Other Income page.

Banquet users with Edit Owned Records access at a property need to be sourced on individual bookings to modify events and merge/batch merge. To avoid sourcing, assign your banquet users Edit All Records access at the property. This will allow them to work with events on all bookings at the property.

To assign the Banquet Access permission set to multiple users simultaneously

  1. Go to Setup and enter "Permission Sets" in the Quick Find search box.
  2. When you see it as an option on the left-hand side, select it.
  3. Click the Banquet Access permission set.
  4. Click Manage Assignments.
  5. Click Add Assignment.
  6. Select the checkbox next to each View Only user who should have the permission set.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Assign.
  9. Click Done.

To assign the Banquet Access permission set to individual users

  1. Go to Setup and enter "Users" in the Quick Find search box.
  2. When you see it as an option on the left-hand side, select it.
  3. Click the name of the View Only user.
  4. Go to the Permission Set Assignments related list and click Edit Assignments.
  5. Add Banquet Access to the Enabled Permission Sets list.
  6. Click Save.
