Packages
Delphi Direct uses packages to simplify the booking process. With Delphi Direct you have complete control over which packages are available for online booking. You need to decide which packages to offer and configure some settings before you make them available.
If you have never used packages before, see the Packages Setup page to learn the basics.
You cannot include guestrooms or other income in Delphi Direct packages.
To edit or create a package for Delphi Direct
- Navigate to Properties, select the appropriate view, and click the property name.
- Click Manage Packages.
- Click the name of the package to edit or click + Package to create a new package.
-
Edit or add package details.
Package details Name Enter the name your users see when they add a package to a booking. This needs to be a descriptive name for when you have multiple versions of a package type. For example, your property might offer two Day Meeting Packages, one for weekdays and another for weekends. Because each package has a different price, you need to ensure your users select the correct one. You could name them 'Day Meeting - Weekday' and 'Day Meeting - Weekend.' Display Name Enter a display name. This is used to describe the package on customer-facing documents. In the above example, both of those packages can appear as 'Day Meeting Package' in documents like contracts and BEOs. Include Guestrooms in Package Price Do not select this checkbox as Delphi Direct does not support guestrooms. Start Date and End Date Enter the date range the package is available to be sold. The package is available for bookings with an arrival date in the specified date range.
If you want the package to always be available, leave these fields blank.
Description Enter the details to be included in contracts for all the services in the package price. - Click Save.
- Before you create the package events, be sure to enter the default admin and gratuity charges on your revenue classifications.
-
Add the package events.
-
Select the appropriate event classification, and select when that event needs to be created:
-
Day of - When the package is added to a booking, these events default to the arrival date. This is typically selected for all events in an event-only package.
-
Next day - When the package is added to a booking, these events default to the day after the arrival date. As Delphi Direct does not support packages with guestrooms, this option is not to be used.
-
-
Enter the revenue breakdown for this event to calculate the per person price. For example, the revenue breakdown of a dinner can allocate 25.00 to Food and 10.00 to Beverage, resulting in an event price of 35.00 per person.
-
Click Save.
The event classifications added to the package need to have the default items that are included in the package price associated to them.
-
-
After you add all components, verify that the correct per person price displays at the bottom of the page.
If you have another similar package, you can click Clone at the top of the page.
