Overview: Configure property object retention

This feature is available with version R55 and higher, and it is not enabled by default. This feature requires an approval process to ensure that only authorized administrators can access it. Corporate administrators, see Enable property object retention for enablement instructions.

Authorized administrators can use the Configure Property Object Retention page to delete records. This process helps optimize a property's data storage and reduce storage costs. To access this page, navigate to Amadeus Settings and select Configure Property Object Retention.

The following property objects are available to purge:

Property object details
Booking

This can be used to bulk delete bookings, and associated booking data. The purge feature has a minimum retention range of three years, ensuring that at least three years of booking records are preserved for reporting purposes. For more information, see Bulk delete bookings.

This is available with version R57 and higher.

Booking Day Snapshot (BDS)

This can be used to delete historical BDS records. The purge feature has a minimum retention range of three years, ensuring that at least three years of booking day snapshot records are preserved for reporting purposes. For more information, see Booking Day Snapshot purge.

This is available with version R55 and higher.

The above options permanently delete records from your system, with no option for future recovery. You fully acknowledge and accept the significant impact these actions may have on your overall product, including but not limited to custom solutions, reporting, and historical data functionalities that depend on these records.
