View sales goal details

The Sales Goal page displays details about the selected user goal or property budget. This information is used to run the Productivity report for user goals and the Guestroom and Catering Pace report for property budgets.

To open the Sales Goal page, open the property, go to the Sales Goals section, and click the sales goal name. In addition to viewing the sales goal details, as shown below, you can use this page to do the following:

Field Description
Information
Name Thisis the name of the sales goal. The Name field defaults to the property abbreviation and the consumption date range. If a consumption date range is not entered, the activity date range is used.
Goal Classification This is the type of goal defined for the user.

This field only applies to user goals.

User This is the user this goal applies to.

This field only applies to user goals.

Budget Classification This is the type of classification for a specific budget.

This field only applies to adhoc property budgets.

Property This is the name of the property for the sales goal.
Record Type This indicates whether this goal is a user goal or property budget.
  • User Goal - This goal measures the total roomnights or revenue that the user needs to book during the specified period.
  • Property Budget - This goal measures the total roomnights or revenue that the entire property needs to generate during the specified period.
Goal Dates
Activity Start Date and Activity End Date This is the date range of the goal. Any bookings that are created or modified during this date range are included in the report.
Consumption Start Date and Consumption End Date This is the consumption date range of the goal. Any roomnights or events that are in-house during this date range are included in the report.

Consumption refers to guestrooms and events on a specific date, regardless of the booking's arrival and departure dates. For example, if a booking is in-house December 29–January 2, and you run the report using a consumption date range of December 1–December 31, only those guestrooms or events on December 29-31 display.

Compare Revenue Types This displays the revenue types that need to be compared with the goal figure.
  • Banquet - Catering revenue associated with group bookings
  • Catering - Catering revenue associated with bookings without a guestroom block
  • In-House - Catering revenue associated with internal hotel events
Event Goal Information
Definite Event Revenue This is the amount of definite event revenue for the goal.
Applies to <Revenue Classification> The checkboxes selected indicate which revenue classifications apply to the definite event revenue goal.

The Guestroom and Catering Pace report does not run a comparison against individual revenue classifications, only the total definite revenue for the month.

This field only applies to user goals.

Guestroom Goal Information
Definite Roomnights This is the definite roomnight goal.
Definite Average Rate This is the definite average room rate goal. Goal room revenue is calculated by multiplying the Definite Roomnights by the Definite Average Rate.
