View account hierarchies

An account hierarchy is created when an account is assigned to a parent account. This provides a global view of a parent account and its subsidiaries. In the hierarchy, child accounts are indented below their parent account.

• You can view the account hierarchy on the Account page.
  • In the Salesforce Classic experience, click View Hierarchy next to the Account Name.
  • In the Salesforce Lightning experience, click View Account Hierarchy () at the top of the page.
• To create an account hierarchy, add the associated parent account to the Parent Account field on the New Account or Account Edit page.
