New Features
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for new users. Over the past year, we've been adding MFA functionality piece by piece. This is to support the Salesforce contractual need for everyone to use MFA when logging in. Soon, this will become the norm, the same as when we started using a pin with a bank card to draw cash at an ATM. To gradually encourage this new process and mitigate a last-minute dash, users created after your upgrade to R45 will be MFA enabled by default. After setting their password, a prompt will help them to connect their secondary device. For detailed information about preparation and user steps, see Activate MFA. If you need more time, simply clear the Enable Multi-Factor Authentication check box on the user details page.
- New guestroom entry experience. Room blocks come in all shapes and sizes so we went ahead and remodeled the page to better suit your needs. Check availability and the minimum acceptable rate (MAR) right on the same page. If you rarely use triple or quad occupancy, they no longer need to clutter your screen. New shortcuts mean you never have to lift a finger off your keyboard to enter rooms and navigate the table. Here's what's really smart — when you open a booking that spans over months we've divided it into 30-day sections because it's easier to view and work with smaller date ranges. Lastly, bulk update provides heaps more flexibility to make quick changes to large room blocks.
- Experience the application in French. To support customers where English is not primarily spoken, we're translating the entire application into several languages. Our first delivery to you is French! Click your name in the upper right corner of the page and select User Profile. In the Additional Details section set the language to French. That's all you have to do! Every page, including reports and merge documents will display in French. C'est manifique!
- Proposals and contracts display daily totals for packages. Let's say Platinum Industries have a two day booking that has 40 guests on a daily delegate package. Your merge document displays 40 guests @ $125 each. Now, it also includes $5000 as the total cost per day and $10,000 as the total package cost for the booking. Much easier for your customers to read.
- Several enhancements for package setup. Are all your booking packages similar? Administrators can now save time when entering property packages by using the new clone option. To save endless scrolling, you'll notice the layout of the page now displays the price information in the tabs at the bottom. Finally, if you have a package entered in error that is never used, click delete to remove unnecessary clutter.
- Mark activities complete. Ever accidentally click the circle next to an activity, not realizing it marks complete and goes to the history tab? To help clarify things— instead of a circle, the check box is now square in shape. This makes the page look more like a checklist to tick off as your day progresses.
- Assign tax set to event classifications in setup. Taxes can be really tricky in some cities. Sometimes, the tax for a booking depends on the type of event. Like who's coming, if they're eating food in a meeting room, or if they are paying a package rate. If your property works with this type of complexity, you've likely been changing the tax set on events. Now, property administrators can select the tax for each event classification in setup. When you add an event to a booking, the associated tax set will attach. Saving time and error, ensuring your merge documents display accurate information. If your property is straightforward —don't worry, you don't need to do anything. Your property's default tax set will apply as usual.
- End of Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer. As of June 15 2022, Microsoft sunset Internet Explorer, so we'll no longer proactively build our application to work with it. To avoid disruption, we recommend transitioning to another supported browser as detailed in our system requirements.
- Maintain five years of guestroom availability. When a property is created, five years of guestroom availability is added. This populates the daily information section on the availability page. To keep this up to date, property administrators had to remember to manually add another year. This is easy to forget and often a low priority amongst everything else they need to accomplish. The result? As time goes on, your availability page may be running out of availability, yikes! So, we're here to strike another task off that to-do list! After upgrading to R45, an automated process will create any missing inventory for active room types. Then, each night the system will add another day —meaning you'll always have the current year, plus five additional years of rolling availability to sell, sell, sell! If you would rather not use this, contact Amadeus Hospitality support to disable it for you.
Fixed Issues
Volume contracts can be recorded as Lost, Declined, or Canceled.
CR0133725: Notifications in Amadeus Hospitality Web Services (AHWS) are fully processed before progressing to the next. This keeps ASEM and AHWS synchronized in order to accurately reflect data in reports. This addresses out-of-sync data between ASEM and AHWS that caused the GRC report to display inaccuracies.
CR0135125, CR0135125: BEO and Banquet Check print history displays all the documents generated against a BEO number.
Thai locale displays the correct currency symbol.
Bookings with no revenue type can be included in pace reports.

New Features
- Enhanced Account and Contact Search. Previously, when searching for accounts and contacts, it was only possible to search by one criteria at a time (for example, you had to choose to search for either the name or the city). R44 introduces an upgraded design that allows you to search multiple criteria, use new filters to further narrow things down, and even choose which columns display in the search results.
- Default BEO Name. When creating a new BEO, you're always required to complete the BEO Name field. We're saving you some typing and speeding up the initial creation of your BEOs by automatically placing the group name there.
- Temporary Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes. Pretty soon, everyone will be required to enable MFA. This requires your team to receive a code on a secondary device (like a mobile phone or token generator) each time they log in. If a user loses or forgets to bring their device to work, a corporate administrator can now generate a temporary code that can be used throughout that day.
Fixed Issues
CR0134364: Inactive users are now available for selection when reassigning record owners.
CR0134371: Special characters (like &, /, -) can now be saved in the Function Room Name and Description fields without error.
