September 28, 2023 (R50)
New Features
- New indicator to show when saving, creating or opening a page is in progress. When you create something new in Delphi Select, there are a handful of back-end processes that run to make sure everything saves correctly. To make sure you know the system is still hard at work, we have added a new visual indicator to all of our product pages. The blue progress bar lets you know that saving or page loading is still in progress. It disappears once the page is fully loaded and available for you to continue working.
- Booking Event Account updates when the account on the booking is changed. (CR090987) It's not uncommon to find yourself in a situation where you need to change the account on a booking. For example, if the booking came from an agency, you want to make sure that the account reflects the company who will be present on the day, when the agent discloses that information to you. When the account is changed, it is important for reporting purposes that all areas of the booking are updated. With R50, when you change the account on a booking, any associated booking event will now automatically be updated with the new account. For special events where you may have already changed the account, fear not. Those will remain unchanged. The update only applies to any booking events where the account is a match.
- Maintaining guestroom availability. Property administrators - it's time to strike the task of adding future guestroom availability off your to-do lists! When you upgrade to R50, an automated process will be turned on to take care of this task for you. Behind the scenes, the system will make sure your property always has 5 years of availability displaying for all of your active guestroom types. It will create anything that is missing to ensure your users have everything they need to keep selling into the future. To make sure we keep your system data storage at a reasonable level, we have added a purge utility that will remove historic availability data more than 5 years old.
- Simplified package attendance terminology. For properties that work with booking packages, we have improved one of our field labels to make it easier for users to understand what needs to be entered. When entering the attendance on a newly added package, you will notice we now use Actual instead of Blocked/Guaranteed. No changes were made with how the information is used in reporting or on merged documents.
- eProposal® integration. We are pleased to announce product integration with Cendyn® eProposal®. This integration speeds up the process by creating professional and polished proposals directly from a Delphi Select booking. With just the click of a button, users can easily add booking details into a proposal template that shows everything that your property has to offer. This functionality helps them tailor every proposal to the recipient's requirements, allowing you to stand out from your competition.
- Option to return to Delphi for multi-module users. If you are a multi-module user, who works with properties in both Delphi and Delphi Select, we have amazing news for you. A menu option has been added that will allow you to toggle between Delphi Select and Delphi. If you are looking to switch back to Delphi, make your way to the list of menu options that appear next to your name and select Delphi. It's as easy as that!
Fixed Issues
CR0137059: Errors will no longer be received if the sender of a MeetingBroker RFP accidentally added a blank space before or after their email address.
CR0129981: For incoming MeetingBroker RFPs, the # of Attendees now maps to the Guest field on the inquiry.
CR0137238: Event Items will be uploaded successfully, with the correct revenue classification, when a property is being moved between Delphi Select instances.

New Features
- Ability to assign activity types to autotraces. (CR0136583) When it comes to reaching out to clients, we do more than pick up the phone and make a call. The power of email, text, and messaging apps means we can reach people in a host of different ways, for a variety of reasons. To improve the experiences you have with auto generated inquiry and booking activities, we've given Delphi Select administrators the ability to assign a unique activity type to each of your property's autotraces. When your activities are created, they will have a type that is appropriate to the task you will be doing. The best part is, when you run the Activity Report in the future, it will offer you better metrics on the tasks you have been completing.
- New Guestroom Cutoff Date in new room block. (CR0127235) Releasing unsold rooms back into inventory is an important part of group management. While most groups can follow your standard property policy for cutoff dates, you may negotiate different arrangements with others. For those times when the cutoff date isn’t standard, it’s easy to forget where this needs to be updated - booking, room block or both. In this release, we’ve changed the product behavior to take the guess work out. With R49, when you update the cutoff date on a new booking, the room block you add will automatically default to the cut off date of the booking. If the booking's cutoff date changes, and it previously matched the room block, it will also be updated so that everything stays aligned.
- Option to display Gratuity or Service Charge on Banquet and Booking Checks. (CR0134450) We value the importance you place on having clear labels on the checks you present to your clients. Your property may have a preference to display Service Charge instead of the current default, Gratuity, above the column that breaks this charge down. To give you the flexibility to choose what you prefer, we have added a field that allows you to define the appropriate text for your property. Located in Property Details, the Gratuity Label in Booking & Event Options, allows you to choose which term you would like displayed on the documents.
- New Online Bookings tab. For properties that receive bookings from online booking channels, we have something special for you. To see a list of the bookings you’ve received, we have added an Online Bookings tab to the Booking search page. This tab displays a list of online business booked at your property to date. The list starts with up and coming bookings, in arrival date order. Past bookings are found below these. Use the interactive columns to change the way the list is sorted so you can easily access bookings you might be looking for.
Fixed Issues
In order to avoid uploading malicious files, Delphi Select only accepts attachments with .pdf, .doc, and .docx file extensions.

New Features
- Document templates display additional room block information. You can now see additional room block information including Cutoff Date, Group Code, and Rate Code on your contracts, proposals, resumes and more!
- Ability to suppress creation of property setup values. If you are the corporate administrator of a multi-module environment, managing the creation of property setup values just got a little easier! An admin setting has been added that allows you to restrict setup values updates for users, limiting the creation of them to corporate administrators only. When this setting is activated, corporate administrators have the ability to control which values are created during and after property creation. Property administrators who previously were able to add values to their property will no longer have access to do so.
- Compare pace and productivity numbers to previous years. In 2020, we enhanced our performance reports to allow you to compare same time last year (STLY) to the same time 2 or 3 years ago. As properties continue to recover from the global pandemic, we have extended the choice further. The Guestroom Pace and Productivity (Preview) reports now let you choose if you want to compare to the same time last year (STLY) or up to 5 years ago.
- MeetingBroker RFP updates. A change was made to the way integration works between MeetingBroker and Delphi Select. We have taken measures to ensure MeetingBroker RFPs that are either missing details or contain incomplete information from the sender (for example, the contact's email address) are always created in Delphi Select as inquiries.
Fixed Issues
CR0136176: All Events for a given date range will now appear within the Function Diary when more than 500 Events exist at the Property.
CR0133772: Inquiries, with more than 25 nights, can now be converted into bookings.

New Features
- Updated Activities Page. (CR0135258) The Activities page has been completely revamped to reflect the enhanced search capabilities that were released, for the Accounts and Contacts pages, in R44. Users may now search multiple criteria
- Experience the application in German and Spanish. To support customers where English is not primarily spoken, we're translating the entire application into a variety of different languages. In 2022, we released the product en français. We are ringing in the new year by delivering our product to you in German and Spanish! Simply click your name in the upper right corner of the page and select User Profile. In the Additional Details section, use the Language field to indicate if you want to see the product in deutshce or español. That's all you have to do! Every page, including reports and merge documents will display in German or Spanish.
- Restrict booking move with pickup. Administrators, are you concerned about bookings being moved after pickup has been entered? Well, worry no more! You now have the power to control this. When you navigate to Booking & Event Options, under Property Details, you will notice a new field called Restrict Booking Move with Pickup. If you select this check box, bookings may not be moved to new dates if pickup values have been entered on the room block.
- Implement Breadcrumbs. Users are now able to retrace their steps with breadcrumb navigation. A breadcrumb trail provides links following the path the user is currently working on and the pages they visited before it. Rather than using your browser's back button, you can now follow the link(s) provided to find your way back efficiently.
- Integration Message Viewer. This brand new page is here to prepare your system for future PMS integration. Once the integration is up and running, Delphi Select and the PMS will exchange information that will create messages. The Message Viewer will display all the succeeded and failed messages along with an explanation of the nature of the error. As a result, administrators will be able to monitor them and troubleshoot much easier.
Product renaming
Amadeus Hospitality is excited to announce that we’re bringing back the Delphi name that so many of us know and love. You will notice that we have changed Amadeus Sales & Events Management - Standard & Essentials (also known as Standard Module and Essentials Module) to Delphi Select throughout our product help.

CR0136065: The pace and productivity reports show all the room and rate changes on a room block.
