Create events
Creating events from the Booking page is incredibly easy, especially if you keep the Availability page open in a separate tab so you can quickly check space while you're working.
You can also create events from the Function Diary.
Select the Event Classification. If you want a different Event Name to display on customer-facing documents, feel free to update that field. You can also modify the default dates and times for that event classification.
After checking space availability, select the Function Room for the event and, if needed, select a different Function Room Setup.
Enter the Agreed Attendance and Expected Attendance for the event. When you receive the final guarantee from the group, you can enter that attendance number directly in the Events grid on the Booking page.
Click Create Event. The event is now shown in the Events grid on the Booking page. Your final step is to click the event to open the Event page where you can double-check a few more details, including the event's average checks.
If another group is using the selected function room, your event will be moved to the Unassigned room. Don't let it sit in Unassigned for too long—as soon as you see the conflict message, check your availability and block the event in a different room.
Function room capacity violations also result in conflict notifications when the event is created. However, the event is not automatically moved to the Unassigned function room. It is up to you to decide if it is acceptable for the event to remain in the original function room.
