Diagramming announcement: Deadline for moving to new 3D
3D Diagramming. Get ready to take your diagrams to another level! 3D Diagramming went through a makeover in July of last year, giving you enhanced imagery and new controls for a more immersive experience. With the new functions in place, this announcement serves as notice that we will be decommissioning the classic 3D this year.
If you have not done so already, now is the time to enable and start using this upgraded feature at your property. Regardless of whether you have used 3D in the past or if you are new to it, we have created a new help topic to get you started. Jump over to the Enabling 3D page for more information.
Property Edition
New outdoor scenes in 3D view. A selection of outdoor scenes is available in the 3D view rendering of the room plan. This helps users create a view out of the room windows that is more realistic to their property’s location.
New default print orientation. (CR0137077, CR0127212, CR0132555) A new check box on the meeting space editor allows a user to set the default print orientation to either landscape or portrait. The list view of meeting spaces now shows the default orientation for each space. This default setting also carries over to Delphi for integrated properties, so users printing diagrams from Delphi have the same benefit.
More space in the room plan drawing canvas. (CR0137903) The button bar and the left-side navigation menu can now be hidden to provide more space. Users can also view the drawing canvas in full-page mode.
Convenient navigation from the room plan page. A new menu on the room plan page provides access to any other area of Delphi Diagramming. The new page opens on a separate tab, eliminating concerns about losing progress in the room plan.
Room plan rotation. (CR0134900) A new button on the drawing canvas rotates the room plan 90 degrees, along with all objects inside the room plan.
Ability to indicate which diagrams to include in batch print. (CR0133584) Users can now select which diagrams to include in batch printing via a new button on the drawing canvas. A list view of the booking events also shows which are included in the batch print for easy reference. This default setting also carries over to Delphi for integrated properties, so users batch merging in Delphi have the same benefit.
Updates to select 3D object models.
The following objects have new 3D models:- Column – Simple
- Pillar – Simple
- Microphone - Desktop Microphone
- Microphone w/Stand - Mic with Stand and Cord
- Rectangle (table) - Rectangle Folding Table
- Rectangle (table) - Stretch Rectangle Table Cover
- Round (table) - Stretch Round Table Cover
These object models have been renamed, and the tabletop and legs have been separated as different elements, so they can have different textures and colors (CR0137943):
- Round - Wooden Round Table is now Round No Cloth
- Rectangle - Wooden Rectangle Table is now Rectangle No Cloth
These object styles are consolidated under a parent object:
- Floor microphone moved under Microphone w/Stand object
- Table microphone moved under Microphone w/Stand object
- Classic Mic with Stand microphone moved under Microphone object
Fixed Issues:
Captcha no longer needs to be completed by users sharing diagrams.
CR0137504: Delphi integrated properties that go through an extract/append process are now able to relink their events to the diagrams without fail.
CR0137823: Function to close inline help in new drawing canvas now features “X” symbol.
Table grow group with chevron room arrangement now saves correctly.
