Manage mappings
If your property has purchased an integration to Delphi, you'll want to make sure information is passed correctly from one system to the other. Administrators can map the function rooms and setups in the two applications with the Mapping Editor in Delphi Diagramming. For example, you might have a Rounds of 8 setup in Delphi that corresponds with the Banquet setup in Delphi Diagramming. Or, one application uses capitalization and the other is abbreviated. Mapping your values ensures that when you create a diagram from Delphi, the correct details flow to Delphi Diagramming.
To access the Mapping Editor, click your name in the upper-right corner of the Delphi Diagramming home page and then click Manage Mappings. In the upper-left corner of the page, select Rooms to review meeting spaces, or Room Setup to see your seating styles.
- If you have access to multiple properties, select the one you want to work with by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the property name at the top of the page.
- Click Auto map. This compares both systems and connects matching values. If all values in the Rooms and Room Setup pages have a match, you are now finished.
- Manually resolve any differences between function rooms:
- In the upper-left corner the page, confirm that Rooms is selected.
- Click the Delphi Room Name that requires mapping.
- In the Diagram Room Name drop-down list, select the corresponding function room in Delphi Diagramming.
- Click Save Changes.
- Manually resolve any differences between setup styles:
- In the upper-left corner the page, select Room Setups.
- Click the Delphi Room Setup that requires mapping.
- In the Room Setup drop-down list, select the corresponding setup style in Delphi Diagramming.
- Click Save Changes.
For Room Setup, you can assign multiple Delphi values to a single Delphi Diagramming value. For example, Rounds of 8 and Rounds of 10 to Banquet, and Classroom 2x6 and Classroom 3x6 to Classroom.
If you made changes to setup styles or room names in either system, you'll need to refresh the existing mappings. The fastest and most accurate way to do this is to delete any mappings that are no longer relevant, and then follow the steps above to map the update. For example, if you change the name of a room from Parlor to Parlor Suite — delete the existing mapping that uses the old name and then recreate the mapping using the new information.
- If you have access to multiple properties, select the one you want to work with by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the property name at the top of the page.
- In the upper-left corner of the page, click the drop-down arrow and select Rooms or Room Setups.
- Click Delete beside the appropriate mapping.
- Click Delete Mapping to confirm the deletion.
Most often, you configure all your mappings early on before your team begins accessing Delphi Diagramming from Delphi. However, don't worry if one of your rooms or setup styles gets overlooked during the mapping process. If an event uses values that are not recognized, Delphi Diagramming will prompt you to select the function room or setup and create the mapping for you.
