Overview: Integrations
When Delphi Diagramming is integrated with Delphi, you can send event information over to quickly create detailed, professional room plans and access them conveniently from your bookings. You can also use the integration to include associated room plans when cloning events, which is especially helpful for new users or when time is of the essence.
Before you get started:
-
Compare and map your meeting spaces and setup styles for both systems in the Mapping Editor. This ensures information flows correctly to Delphi Diagramming. For example, if you use Rounds of 8 in Delphi, map it to Banquet in Delphi Diagramming.
-
Make sure pop-up blockers are disabled in your browser. Otherwise, Delphi Diagramming won't open when you click the View Diagram button.
If your property has been using Delphi Diagramming for a while and has recently purchased the integration, follow these steps to copy your existing room plans to an integrated booking.
Here are things to keep in mind as you get to work:
-
After a room plan is created via the integration, edits to the following fields in Delphi also update Delphi Diagramming. Later updates are sent when you select an event and click View Diagram. Note that edits in Delphi Diagramming do not update in the other direction.
- Event Name
- Event Date, Start, and End Time
- Attendees
- Status
- Room and Room Setup
- BEO #
- Events deleted in Delphi are noted as deleted in Delphi Diagramming.
- After you're integrated, bookings and events are read-only in Delphi Diagramming. If you want to create a room plan before you're ready to create a booking in Delphi, create a Quick Room Plan. You can link it to a booking later.
- A default seat count, for example, 8, is defined for your Banquet setup. Your Delphi Diagramming administrator might have mapped several setups to the Banquet style, such as Rounds of 8, Rounds of 10, and Rounds of 12. Because the Banquet setup always uses the default, when you create a room plan in Automatic Layout Mode, you might need to modify the seat count to meet your group’s needs.
To create or modify a room plan from Delphi
- In Delphi Diagramming do one of the following:
- In the Booking Events grid on the Booking page or Manage Events page, select the check box next to an event and then click View Diagram. Alternatively, right-click the event and click View Diagram.
- On the Manage Menus and Items page, select an event in the Events list and then click View Diagram.
- On the Booking Event page, click View Diagram.
- Log in to Delphi Diagramming with your assigned username and password.
- Enter a name for the room plan and click Create Room Plan. Delphi Diagramming uses the function room and setup you selected in Delphi to create the room plan in Automatic Layout Mode. If an exact match is not found, you see the Event Setup dialog.
- Detail the room plan as needed. See Design room plans.
- After initial creation from Delphi, when you click the View Diagram button, you are taken directly to your diagram to edit as needed.
If you want to create a room plan before you're ready to create a booking, create a Quick Room Plan. You can link it to a booking later.
This link icon next to your property name in Delphi Diagramming indicates that the two applications are integrated. On the Options Editor page, you can also see the name of your sales and catering system displayed in the Service Integration field. A Property ID is displayed for Delphi integrations.
Integrating your meeting space with Matterport 3D virtual tour spaces provides the most realistic view of your meeting space possible without actually being there.
Existing Matterport customers:
Take the following steps to make this integration active:
-
Click your name in the upper-right corner of the page, and then click Manage Options.
-
On the right, in the Matterport Integration section, you can see a button called Login with Matterport.
-
Enter your login and password for your Matterport account, and then click Sign In.
-
On the next window, click Authorize to give Delphi Diagramming access to your Matterport virtual tours.
-
After you are logged into Matterport, the message Matterport Account is Linked shows on your Manage Options page. You can unlink this account if needed by clicking X.
-
You can also see a new check box called Enable Virtual Tours. This check box must be selected to use Matterport Virtual Tours. If unselected, existing 3D rendering from Delphi Diagramming is used for event space walls, floors, and ceilings instead.
No Matterport Account? No problem! If you want to purchase an integration to Matterport, contact your Amadeus sales representative. Amadeus can set up and configure the integration for as much meeting space as you require.
To map your Delphi Diagramming meeting space with a Matterport space
In order for the two programs to display their data together in one 3D virtual room plan, the two spaces need to be mapped together. This is done on the Manage 3D page. Follow these steps:
-
Click your name in the upper-right corner of the page, and then click Manage 3D.
-
Find the Delphi Diagramming meeting space name of the room you want to map in the list of meeting spaces that display.
-
Select the first button on the right side of the page for that space. It is called Meeting Space Mapping.
-
In the window that displays, select the corresponding Matterport space.
-
On the 3D Manager page, the Mapped Space Name column is now populated, and three new buttons display on the right side.
-
Preview Virtual Tour. Use this button to see a preview of the space. The preview shows Matterport space if Enable Virtual Tour is selected to the left of the meeting space name. Otherwise, it shows Delphi Diagramming 3D space only.
-
Mapping of Coordinates. See Mapping Space Coordinates below.
-
Delete Room Mapping. This is used to remove an existing space mapping.
-
Mapping space coordinates
This needs to be done the first time any meeting spaces are mapped. This is important to ensure objects placed in the meeting space layout appear in the correct places in the 3D virtual tour. Here are the steps to follow:
-
On the Manage 3D page, click the Mapping of Coordinates button that corresponds with the correct mapped meeting space.
-
The Matterport space photo image launches, with the Delphi Diagramming meeting space outlined in white.
-
Use your arrow keys and mouse buttons to align the two objects.
-
Make sure to also adjust the vertical alignment of the outline. You want to make sure the bottom of the Delphi Diagramming outline is level with the floor of the Matterport space. This ensures no object appears to be floating in the room or buried into the floor.
-
When you are finished aligning, click Save Mapping at the top of the page.
Note the Save Camera button. If you position your view at a doorway or a corner of the room that displays the rest of the space nicely, click Save Camera to have this view be the default when a virtual tour is opened for this space.
After your spaces are mapped and your coordinates are aligned, you are ready to see a virtual tour of your meeting space! From a room plan, click the View 3D button to see your Delphi Diagramming 3D objects in your Matterport virtual meeting space. Customers can see the same virtual tour via the link sent to them in an email.
